Because this deserves to be seen by everyone.

Megan wrote this in my guestbook. Everyone should read this and recognise this girl's brilliance.

I FEEL the profound truths expressed by Avril Lavigne's lyrics, right down into the pit of my waiting SOUL. I mean, she so effectively and eloquently sums up the drama present in the entire modern ZEITGEST, the whole ongoing tension between the preppy kids and the ones, like Avril, that are all fucking PUNK and IN YOUR FACE and do things like wreak havoc on department stores. The song "Complicated" is a truly phenomenal piece, wrought from the INTENSE frustration and anger the artist feels at the divisions and pretentions in society. Lavigne, too, expresses a discomfort with (but ultimate acceptance of) the anxiety of influence, in the line "lay back, it's all been done before." Similarly, "Take off all your preppy clothes" exhibits a distaste for the "prep" lifestyle but a desire to engage in sexual relations with a boy (boi, rather) who has chosen to place himself into that category. Plus, she wears spiky armbands. SO fucking hardcore. SO hardcore.
