all the children sing....

I remember a conversation I had with Soni Didi when she was newly married. I was all of six years old and with the precociousness I was notorious for, I informed her non-chalantly that I was going to have eleven children. Twelve (almost thirteen) years later, I realise how wonderfully innocent I must have been to make a statement like that. Vedant just left, and every time I'm around him, I realise how much I love children, and how badly I want to have them. Of course, I'm not as ambitious as I was when I was little. 2 kids will be quite enough for me, I think!

He was pretty restless when he first came in today. Poor kid. He goes for all sorts of classes (art, computer, football, swimming and now french) and he's only four! His dad seems like the overly pushy kind. At first,Vedant sat on my lap and refused to answer when I spoke to him in French. I made him listen to a tape of French songs and sang with him for a while, and then, he was more than willing to learn. He told me all about his "daughter" today. It was so cute. He told me he had to buy a cake, and when I asked him whose birthday it was, he said "my daughter's!" The cuteness is almost unbearable sometimes. Kids,I tell ya.

Speaking of which, I unearthed an ollldd notebook of mine last night which has poems that I wrote when I was 8 and 9. I was pretty damn prolific if I say so myself, and uh,kinda weird. Whoever wants to see can e-mail me or something. And then make fun of me.

deja vu? | jamais vu?
