smiles, nods and exits.

For the second time in three days, I met someone I knew at Sarvodaya. It was about 3:30 in the afternoon and it's usually empty-ish at that time. I was in their new releases section, looking for The Man Who Wasn't There and I felt someone looking at me from the other side of the store. I glanced up and a vaguely familiar smile greeted me. I smiled back apprehensively, unsure of how to react.

"Oh-rina..? Right?"

"Yes..um...Ibaad?"

"Ya! How're you..? When did you come back? How long are you staying?"

I have no idea how he knew I was in London. I've met him once in my life, for Chrissakes. 24th December,1999.

"A month ago..I'll be here until the end of August.."

"Oh, cool...You're studying in the States,right..?"

"Uh,London,actually..."

"Oh yeah...Zain told me..."

"How is Zain? I heard he was working with MTV.."

"Yeah he is...he's in Europe on holiday right now.."

"Oh,nice..uh...a-are you still studying in Bombay?"

"Yeah, just finished my first year of MBA..Um..you look really different from what I remember...Really changed.."

"Yeah...?"

I had no idea what to say after that. So I smiled and looked back at the DVDs I was flipping through. I didn't find anything, so I went to look at the rest of the collection, the part of the store he was at. Ibaad was with some other guy, and my eyes met his as I was walking in their direction.

"Oh hi! Um, Shalin introduced us at JATC the other day..."

"Shahid..of course,hey.."

We smiled at each other foolishly, nodding our heads a bit and then went back to finding DVDs. I picked one out as fast as I could. The awkwardness of the situation was damn near killing me. I placed Manhattan on the counter, and a few seconds later, Ibaad placed a copy of A Beautiful Mind. Bakul, the ever-so-helpful clerk, looked at me, raising his eyebrow.

"Cozihom...D-50...?"

"53".

I thanked the clerk, grabbed the DVD and turned to say bye to the boys.

"See ya...tell Zain I said hi.."

"I will...bye".

I don't get it. How do those two even know each other? Ibaad is 22 and Shahid is my age. Shahid was in A.V.M. (Or maybe it was Bombay Scottish) and I don't know which school Ibaad was in, but he wasn't in either of those. Bandra is way too small. BOMBAY is way too small.

XXXXXXXXX

HAHAHAHAHAHA. Mama was watching an interview with some new boy band called "Band of Boys" and one of the boys was SIDDHARTH HALDIPUR!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!! That is so frickin' BEAUTIFUL! I ran to the hall to call Kanika to tell her, and when she answered, she could barely manage to say "hello" - that's how hard she was laughing. And I knew exactly why.

" You're watching Star Plus too!!! What the hell is Siddharth doing?! "

"I don't know but this is the funniest thing I've seen in a loooong time".

More hysterical giggles as S.H showed off his dancing abilities. Goddamn! I know way too many people!
